Dr Adrienne Dixson is Associate Professor of Critical Race Theory and Education in the Department of Educational Policy, Organisation and Leadership, at UIUC. Her scholarship focuses on the intersection of race, class and gender in urban educational contexts. Dr Dixson is co-editor of the Handbook of Critical Race Theory in Education (2013) and widely acknowledged as one of the most important figures in the new generation of critical race scholars internationally. Dr Dixson’s visit provides a direct example of how universities are working together to enhance their research, strengthen collaborations and demonstrate global impact.
